Let’s Get Physical December

Happy Wednesday everyone!

So this month I welcome my first cohost to LGP: Melissa at Insert Sarcastic Remark Here! I'm ready for December Let's Get Physical, are you?

Lol so one of my biggest achievements was success at No-Fry November. I have to celebrate that victory because I'm pretty sure starch is my FAVORITE food group.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit that the only success I've had in exercise this month was a video game, but honestly, I LOVE dancing as a form of exercise. So instead of being afraid to admit what works for me (dance video game) and forcing myself to do something I hate (running), I figured I would try the whole honesty thing to see how it goes! Also my friend Kelly suggested I try Bikram Yoga and I think I'm unofficially putting that on my Goals too 😉

Link up with Melissa and I today!!

I've decided to keep the link up open for a full week (it closes on 12/12/2012 at 11:59 pm PST) so more people can join in. Don't forget the ONLY rule of LGP is to visit the top 2 links above yours and leave them an encouraging comment or fitness tip to help them along their journey! If you want to rock the house, feel free to comment on everyone!

Also as part of my expansion of Let's Get Physical, I want to get us thinking about fitness more often! I'm thinking of opening up guest posts or social media shoutouts with those who link up and want to share some of their fitness knowledge. I'll send an e-mail out after everyone has linked up with more information!

Can't wait to see all of your fitness goals, let's do this together!

What food item is your absolute weakness? How do you stay away from it?

Happy Hump day everyone!

  1. Congratulations on No-Fry November! I LOVE my starches too. I actually get about 50% of my workouts through video games (Zumba & WiiFit). I don't have access to a gym and yeah, cold weather means no outside workouts for me either and it fits in my schedule nicely. December is going to be a big challenge for me- lots of holiday parties and events.

  2. Yay for staying away from fries, I'm so proud of you. My food weakness is anything with cheese on it... and how do I stay away from it? I don't. It just isn't happening. I actually find myself eating things just so I could add cheese to it, haha. Don't judge me.

Also, if it's a video game that works for you, hey who cares at least it's something! 🙂

Yay for No-Fry November! It's all about taking everything in moderation. Also, if you want to cut something out completely, think "flavor per calorie." Would you rather have a big thing of french fries or a small chunk of really good cheese? A stale muffin that's been sitting out or would you rather have a big bowl of fruit with yogurt? Maybe give that a try?

    Love you, Roomsky!

  4. Congrats on No Fry November! Fries are my weakness, so I know how hard that can be! I think I need to invest in some sort of video game like that because then maybe I'll actually get some exercise in!

  5. Ok. I HAVE to do this in January. My biggest weakness is cake pops from a local bakery, Edlyn Sweets. I swear this woman's cake pops are made with crack. Funny that you asked that question today, because I literally just bought 4.

  6. mmm fries. I haven't have that for 3 weeks, and currently not craving them. Well, ok, i must say i had sweet potato frieds the other day @ a vegan restaurant, but i couldn't finish it. haha. congrats on your no-fry november!

  7. Sweets and carbs are my weaknesses. 🙂 If you are looking for an easy and delicious veggie recipe, try chopping up sweet potatoes, carrots, and/or parsnips, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt/pepper, and roast in the oven at 425 degrees for about 40 minutes, stirring once half way through. Super easy, healthy, and delicious!

  8. Dancing as a form of exercise sounds like the way to go! I admire that you managed to stick with the no-fry ban, I totally would crumble at the first temptation. I just had KFC today, eeeek!

  9. I thought I left a comment here already...maybe I'm going crazy.

Anywho, congrats on No Fry November and thanks for having me cohost.

    Let's do lunch. 😉
