Let's Get Physical Link Up!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I'm hosting my first link up! And it's about fitness (say whatttttttt?!?). Here's my check in of Let's Get Physical for August!

I only had a legitimate 11Β days since my last Fitness post so it's a little embarrassing that in that short of time, I already managed to break so many of my rules! Oh hell. Haha but you know what? That's the reality of my fitness journey and I'm not here to sugar coat it. I promise to be honest with you guys, so I can be honest with myself. So here goes peeps:

So the take away message is that I succeeded at water intake and I went to the gym for the first time in months! Although I fell off the wagon one night (and had late night fries) I feel like I took more steps forward than backwards! I can't want to see what his month brings because I'm SO committed to this, I'm in it to win friends!

On that note, I went to Yoga II (emphasis on the roman numeral 2) last night and it felt similar to what I imagine detox is like, meaning DEATH. Remember how I said had a no-sweating problem? Not last night I didn't! This weekend due to a good friend's peer pressure, I might've imbibed in a few drinks. Daily. And my body painfully sweated out that margarita, those glasses of wine and maybe a Blue Moon or 2. Le sigh.

Vacation, you ripped me a new one.

  1. Yay for getting to the gym! It doesn't matter when you go. At least you got there!

    French fries are my weakness. And ice cream too. I'm hoping the change in seasons means less ice cream in my diet, haha.

  2. Congrats on getting your water intake in. A good thing to remember is that fruits and veggies are full of water and that's another way to get all the water you need in during the day.

    I've been craving frosties lately and when I get a frosty I feel like I have to get french fries too. No bueno. Hopefully since I've had a few I won't feel the need to have any more for a while if at all.

  8. I have so much trouble with eating and vacation. I can actually be doing really well and then I go on vacation and not only ruin my diet by eating everything in sight, but then by the time I get home I don't stop! It's SO bad! And I am an emotional eater too.

    I also find it easier to work out in the afternoon instead of the morning. And awesome job on yoga II!

  12. I love how entertainingly you write about everyday stuff. I can't help not to imagine you at Yoga 2. πŸ˜› yeah, yoga can be a real bitch. πŸ˜€
    + however, emotional eating only once in two weeks? that's huge success! I live with emotional eater and I see daily how much she is struggling. I wish I could help her but I don't know how. :/
    + I also used to love french fries and similar food. but I started to gradually choose healthier alternatives and after a few years I don't crave them anymore. I do eat them a few times a year, but they don't give me the satisfaction they used to.
    + I also HAVE TO eat breakfast. snacks are also great. I try to never be without food for more than 4 hours, 5 hours max. otherwise my sugar drops and I'm a total pain in the butt for anyone who approaches me. πŸ˜€

  13. Hi - what a great link-up!! I am too late for this week but hopefully there is another link-up next week!!! I am trying to amp up my fitness regime as well. At the moment I am down to 2 - 3 times jogging a week but want to add muscle toning as well. We'll see what I come up with next week!!!
