Let’s Get Physical November

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Vacation in Seattle was simply phenomenal but when I felt that California sunshine hit me through the plane window, I swear I nearly lost my marbles. I was overjoyed. It's official, I cannot live anywhere that doesn't have sunshine 90% of the year. I can't wait to share all the yummy food photos with you, it was a foodie's heaven!

So it's that time again for Let's Get Physical! If you've never heard or participated in it before, I decided to make a little graphic explaining it more:

I have a love-hate relationship with writing these posts because I don't always make the monthly progress I hope for but I still like holding myself accountable. And when I stopped to think about my goals back in September and October, I was pleased with how much undercover progress I've made. Without even celebrating it or trying too hard, I've stopped eating late at night! That's big for me people! Without further ado, here's how I fared this month:

    Will post tonight or tomorrow night - but not really looking forward to it - as unfortunately I am going to admit I didn't do so much in October πŸ™ bad very bad ... !

  2. I don't think anyone should be held accountable for what they eat on vacation. At all! I agree that some foods just taste better in restaurants. I love Olive Garden salad but I've never been able to recreate it at home. I would eat salad everyday if I could manage that!

    Good work love! Slowly but surely... I highly recommend the Couch to 5K program. I ran my first 5k in June that spoiled me with champagne and chocolate after the race (See Jane Run). It's SO worth it!

    And no, our Seattle trip did not help with our fitness goals... TOP POT?!? RAVIOLI?! MASHED POTATO EGG ROLLS!?! My, oh my.

  4. Congrats on making some progress with your goals! I have to write up my post, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be identical to my last two. And not in a good way.

    Sidenote: I was confused when I actually saw the link list. At first I thought somehow it now works with WordPress.com accounts, but then I realized you're self hosted! Yay for actually being able to embed the link list! haha, yes I'm a dork and noticed this.

  5. Yay for no more late night eating! I know how hard it is to break that habit. I'm also with you on the topic of salads-- they're so delicious in restaurants and so boring at home, I have to force myself to eat them. If I find a good one I'll send it your way!

  6. start with 5 km only walking and then just add some running in between and again and again until its only running! Get yourself some great music and just go for it! You CAN DO IT!! We don't have to take care of our food intake as long as we stay active, right?

    What is it about homemade salads that you dislike? My problem is that even at home a salad for me has cheese, bacon and creamy dressing. So probably just as bad as a restaurant salad.

    Let's do this! When you get the urge to eat French Fries tweet me or I can give you my phone number and you can text me. I'll talk you down. lol

    I'm running my first (timed) 5K event next weekend, I'm excited and hope to best my best time! πŸ™‚

    (p.s. I LOVE Seattle and could live there in a heartbeat, give me the rain over sunshine any day!)
