Loving Lately: Quotes

Greetings lovelies!

So, yesterday was a blah day for me, mostly self-inflicted panic about taking on too many responsibilities because that's what I do. I won't spend much time harping on it but I have to give Rob credit for having a complete handle on what to do when I'm pulling my own hair out. I tell you friends, when you find the one who knows how to handle your shiz youΒ at your worst, don't let him/her out of your sight.

Then, I had some pretty great friends who tweeted me some kind words too. I don't know if people ever fully understand the impact a few words of support can have on a bad day but thank you. <3

When I get into moods like these, there's nothing a few good quotes/mantras can't fix. These are 3 quotes that I'm loving lately:

I'm especially loving that last one, I think there definitely comes a time that stress begins to feel like it's physically weighing on me and the simple idea of just letting go, speaks volumes.

Do you find yourself biting off more than you can chew? I feel like I do this, especially around the holidays. There's so many fun things to do, tons of functions to attend and I definitely take on more projects than I should. But at the end of the day, what makes me stressed is what brings me the most joy. So I know that days like this will pass and brighter days will shine through. (Now, if only it could be Friday already.... πŸ˜‰ )

I'm dying to know what everyone bought on Cyber Monday! I filled up about 4 different carts online but didn't take the plunge on any of them! It took a LOT of restraint.

Have a lovely day, my friends!

P.S. If I can get my act together by December, I might be opening my first round of Button swaps! Feel free to let me know if you're interested and have openings for swaps! πŸ™‚

  1. I love all of those quotes, but especially that last one. Sometimes we really need to learn to keep quiet until we've really thought about what we're signing on for, or saying yes to, and take that time to thoughtfully decide whether the new "project" (however big or small it is) can fit into our schedule. We don't have to do EVERYTHING, girl! πŸ™‚ Trust me, I have to tell myself that often!

  3. I take on a lot over the holidays and it's mostly because I am picky about how things are done and want it done my way. Most of the time I can go with the flow but not in December. And I absolutely agree that a few kind words can turn a mood/day around instantly.

  4. I love the first and last quotes, especially the first one. I have that problem, of always wanting to plan EVERYTHING and freak out when things are out of my control. Letting go can be daunting, but I'm working on it! πŸ™‚

  6. Lovely quotes! I agree with you...I too have a hard time during the holidays with the extra busyness and tension! But like you, trying to take things a little more lightly and not fill my schedule with too much! Too a holiday season of joy and slowness! πŸ™‚

  7. I am waaay guilty of worrying and overanalyzing everything! Sometimes it gets to the point where I literally worry myself sick. We're lucky gals to have awesome men who "get" us aren't we?? Great quotes πŸ™‚

  8. I completely understand what you mean when you say that what makes you stressed also brings you joy. A busy life is a full life! πŸ™‚ If I ever get onto the button boat, I would love to swap with you! I'll keep you updated. I am anxiously awaiting my online black friday orders from J. Crew, Ann Taylor, and Banana Republic. Fortunately for my wallet, I usually end up returning most of what I order online because I'm really picky about fit. Have a great day, Evani!

All great quotes. I feel a bit overwhelmed with my to do list at times. I think we all go through that. Except for those weirdos who have all their schtuff together and all organized out. Ugh...those people...I don't like those people. Ha! Just kidding.
