Loving Lately: Tan Lovin’

Happy Tuesday everyone!

So in my 25 by 25 post, I made a promise to myself to toss out pieces in my closet that don't fit anymore. Confession time: I have a closet FULL of clothes that don't fit. I'm not only a clothing hoarder but like most women, I dream of fitting into THAT pair of shorts again so I keep them just in case. But those days are over, I'm taking my closet back!

And ifย when I lose that weight I dream of losing, then I will spoil myself with a new wardrobe anyways!

So today's Loving Lately is a fall outfit I've been dreaming of. With room in my closet now, maybe I can chase these tan beauties.

I'm putting out an SOS to all my curvier ladies: HELP! I'm always on the hunt for boots for ladies with large(r) calves. Especially looking for comfy boots that fit over skinny jeans or leggings. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love how tan makes a comeback every fall. And I'm loving so many fall trends like the dolman sleeve and metallic nails too.

What trends are you loving lately?

  1. My closet is in desperate need of a cleansing, but I just can't bare to let anything go! I love tan for fall too... it goes with everything! Oh and for your boots, have you tried DSW? They just have so many options for boots.

  2. Hi darling! Good for u! I'm constantly trying to get rid of those damn 10 pounds. I actually got to lose over 30 lbs 3 years ago -and I was already on my thirties, for those who say that metabolism slows down at that age. To me, there are 4 keys to get rid of extra weight: 1. portion control (I'm all about counting calories), 2. Compensation (It's totally ok and also much needed to indulge in something you love once a week, as long as you make up for it the following day), 3. Light dinners...that's crucial! 4. Try to be active ๐Ÿ˜‰ And if I had to stick to just one of the rules, I'd definitely go for #3. Sorry for the unsolicited advise, but the subject fascinates me. Muah!

  3. Love your tan picks (and your new independent site!)! I have a hard time finding boots that fit my calves as well. Sites like amazon and zappos usually let you search by boot opening width, which is helpful. Last year, I got a pair of AK Anne Klein wide-calf boots that I love! Similar to these: http://www.amazon.com/Anne-Klein-Womens-Carlow-Riding/dp/B00591HSNC/ref=sr_1_1?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1351009351&sr=1-1

If you find a great wide-calf store/resource, let me know! I am always looking!

  4. I love that bag!
Sometimes I have a tough time with boots too - I got some at Target last year that work pretty well. Definitely check out Zappos since they have good size info and easy returns.

  5. Love this outfit. I used to save clothes too. Now I have a two rules: if I buy it and don't wear it within 30 days, it goes back to the store and I weed out anything I haven't worn in 6 months to a year. I figure if I liked it enough to buy it, then I should've worn it in the first month. And if I haven't worn it in 6 to 12 months then I'm probably not gonna wear it.

Also, I'm with you on the boots. I have big calves too and can never find boots. I've been thinking about trying the tall lace up Minnetonka boots, but I can't find them anywhere locally.

  6. I'm just the same, but I'm also cleaning my closet now. I will have a smaller wardrobe in my new room and I decided to do this on purpose - so there won't be any space for the clothes I don't/can't wear. ๐Ÿ™‚
