Me, Myself and I: December

Happy Monday everyone!

In honor of the Sandy Hook tragedy, I will be participating in the blogger day of silence tomorrow (info). I figured since I had the Me, Myself and I post ready last week, I'd just go ahead and post it on my blog today (Hope you don't mind!).

1) What was your favorite gift given to you as a child?

Source

I legitimately had my parents park it in my room that night and I woke up the next morning, sitting in it! Lol I'm pretty sure I had a dream I was driving somewhere.

2) Christmas is almost here, what is that one Christmas song you could listen to on repeat?

All time classic, definitely Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you". 2nd place goes to "This Gift" by 98 degrees. But I have to admit, Justin Bieber and Boys II Men "Fa La La" is a a close 2nd (especially the acapella version!).

3) What are a few of the items on your Christmas list this year?

Christmas Wishlist

4) Do you and your family have any special holiday traditions? Explain.

We open all our presents on Christmas eve as late as we can possibly wait (usually 10:00 pm haha) so we can play with all our goodies on Christmas day. Then on Christmas Day we do a PJ brunch. And on New Years our newest tradition has been bowling on New Years Eve. The bowling alley has this really fun balloon drop and celebratory toast at midnight!

 5) Which do you prefer: wrapping paper or gift bags? Why?

Source

Why? Because gift wrap is so much more fun to open, duh!

Speaking of gift wrap, I am knee deep in presents that need to be wrapped. Normally I would be super excited to do so but considering I leave for Disneyland Thursday night, it feels more like an obligation. I'll get it done though (most likely on Wednesday night, wrapping until 4 am...Lol)

Are you done wrapping all your presents? If you don't do presents (or Christmas), what are your holiday traditions?

Hope you have a great start to your week!

  1. I don't celebrate Christmas. A few years ago several of my friends and I that don't celebrate went to the movies. The last couple of years I've spent in Chicago hanging out with friends. I planned to go to Chicago again this year, but since I'm saving for California I don't know if I'll go. I need to go buy a couple of lottery tickets. LOL

  2. Of course I have all of my presents wrapped and under the tree already (minus 1-2 presents that are more challenging that I have yet to decide on the best way to tackle them). NYE at the bowling alley actually sounds pretty awesome. My husband and I actually met on NYE... story to come later! On Christmas eve, we always do a giant Yankees Swap with my husband's dad's side of the family. It's intense, but somehow I always end up with silly presents like a wash cloth or a mug... I hope I have better luck this year! :)

  4. That Barbie Corvette is pretty sweet! :) I have about 1/4 of present wrapping completed, so I still have a ways to go. I love the idea of bowling on New Years Eve, how fun! Have a great time at Disneyland!

  5. That Barbie Corvette is amazing - I would've lost my mind if someone gave me that as a gift when I was a kid :p Loooved Barbie. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is amazing, and I also really like Fa La La as well. Also N Sync's Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.

  6. Happy Holidays and thank you so much for your sweet comment on my guest post on Nicole's blog. My favorite holiday is Halloween! I love passing out candy or taking my nephews and niece out trick o treating. Such fun memories with those kids. Anyone else in my family would say Thanksgiving, 4th of July or Christmas but that is because of the food I'm sure!
