Simply Baking: Red Velvet Cookies

Happy Monday lovelies!

Sharing a super simple cookie recipe today, I hope you enjoy!

While planning for a Sex and the City Party, I was on the hunt for red colored desserts. I saw this simple recipe and I knew this was it!

Recipe adapted from the WhipperBerry blog, go check out her fabulous blog! πŸ™‚

  • 1 box of Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 1 cup of All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 sticks of softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2.5 cups of White Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350. Cream the butter until fluffy and slowly add in cake mix and flour. Add egg and once completely mixed, add white chocolate chips and mix completely. Form dough into balls and bake for 8-10 minutes. Then enjoy!

I'm enamored with the deep red color which makes it Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day friendly. I do feel like the cake mix made the cookies more crumbly than the typical homemade cookie but they were definitely taste approved.

In theory, I want to move towards making my own box cake mixes but this is a super simple recipe since it's mainly just a boxed red velvet cake mix. Don't you keep a stash of red velvet cake mixes handy too? Oh, that's just me? #SorryI'mNotSorry haha

I had a very relaxing weekend, which was much needed.

How was your weekend??
