Simply Baking: S’mores Bars

Oh how I love 3 day weekends… Thank. You. Presidents.

I baked these bad boys for the Superbowl (Good gawd, I am THAT behind) because my sister has been begging me for s’mores. Since fires aren’t really my specialty, I found these on Pinterest and knew these were it!

Chocolate, Crackers and Marshmallows, oh my!

My sister was pretty fond of them, she has quite a sweet tooth. I have to admit that we made the graham cracker top layer a little thick for my liking. I would recommend keeping those graham cracker layers thin, they expanded with baking and are the driest part of the bar. But overall, they were tasty and definitely had s’more tendencies!

Reading my dear friend Lyss‘ blog, she mentioned a Creative Cleanse that Kate proposed. This idea couldn’t have been better timed for what’s going on in my life. I can’t keep up with the blog reading that I used to and still produce posts 3 times a week. I want to spend more quality time on producing content. And to be honest, my daily reads are people who comment on my blog regularly (most of them being my blog friends). So if you are a reader of my blog, I would love if you could leave me comments, chat with me on twitter, ANYTHING so I know that you are important to keep on my radar! I promised myself a long time ago that I would always be readers of my reader’s blogs so if I’m dropping the ball, please feel free to let me know. (I follow blogs with Bloglovin because I can’t have GFC so I hope you have one I can follow!)

I had the most wonderful 3 day weekend that I’ll be sharing with you tomorrow!

How was your weekend?

  1. Ooooh, those look so yummy. My weekend was really nice, too. Visited with friends, The Boy had a sleepover, so my husband and I got to go see “Lincoln” (how very Presidents’ Day of us, right?), then family dinner on Sunday, and of course, Downton. :)

  5. Oh my gosh these smores, you are taunting me with these smores bars! YUMMY. Unfortunately I had to work yesterday while everyone else enjoyed the day off. The good news is, there was NO traffic. Yes, it’s the little things in life… :)

Evani, these look scrumptious! I actually made a s’mores inspired recipe recently but haven’t had time to do a post about it. I can totally relate to not being able to keep up with all the blogs I want to read… it’s hard to keep up!
